All our bodhráns are made with hand-stretched, sustainably sourced goatskins, as the sound your bodhrán makes depends very much on the quality of the skins you use. Plus, it comes with its own hardwood beater.

Robert R.Thank you for my well constructed traditional instrument. This bodhran has a sonorous and most melodious tone, it shivers and trembles when struck, it’s booming reverberations circulating around the kitchen long afterwards and diminishing delightfully until they are no more.

14" Non-Tuneable Bodhran

I don't know much about bodhráns, as this is my first one. I'm just starting on it, but a friend, who plays them, says this one is pretty good. The only problem is that for my size, it's a little small. Upgrading to 16". Also, it arrived with the tape all messed up on the face of it. But that didn't really bother me too much, as it still sounded good. Just need to get me some of that bodhrán cream.
