This is a beautifully crafted, impeccably balanced classic F-style mandolin, with the distinctive swirling scroll at the top and the two extra points down the other side.

And it comes in a choice of two glossy finishes, in either Sunburst or Natural Wood.

When Orville Gibson created his famous mandolins at the turn of the 20th century, the A-style was the more basic model, and the F in the F-style was for ‘fancy’, because of the elaborate handiwork required to produce it.

Along with its more ornate style and crafting, an F-style tends to be louder and brighter, with a punchy quality that means you can really get it to stand out when playing as part of a group.

It’s come to be associated with Bluegrass, but that’s really only because of Bill Monroe’s passion for his Gibson (Loar) F-5.

With an upgraded build and design, this F-Style Mandolin has a better sound, a slimmer neck, a beautifully crafted finish, and is all around easier than ever to play and enjoy.

Built For The Ages

The top is built from spruce which is a tonewood that has high stiffness but low density, which makes it particularly well suited for stringed instruments. While the body has the classic F-style form, with the scroll and those two points down the side, and we’ve added additional scrolls onto the headstock.
