SCROLL UP TO VIEW OUR SOPRANO WHISTLES FOR IRISH MUSIC
Amongst all of the tin whistles used in Irish music, the most common kind used is the soprano whistle. That’s because the soprano tin whistles play in the keys of B flat to G major - the most common keys in Irish music!
Tony Dixon.
Plus, we also have our own McNeela whistles such as the Wild Whistle series to boot. Our collection includes tuneable and polymer whistles to give you an instrument that sounds great and stands the test of time.
We have whistles suitable for every level. So whether you’re just starting in Irish music, or already a seasoned whistle playing veteran, we’re sure to have something for you.
Our Wild Whistles collection is our most popular set of whistles and are available in C, D, and B flat, major. In addition to being very smooth to play, these whistles are made from brass, which gives them a brighter and more responsive tone compared to aluminium (used in most Irish whistles these days). Plus, they have a delrin cork which helps to create a strong and clear tone, making these a perfect range for standing out in any pub session!
