It’s made from goatskin that is individually hand-cured and hand-stretched, and is treated and conditioned without the use of chemicals.

Taped Around the Edges

All our bodhráns come taped around the edges, which helps to ‘dampen’ the tone, in much the same way that E rings do when used on a set of drums. This technique extends the harmonic range of the instrument and adds complexity to the bass tones.
