“Great tone and the pick-up and built-in tuner work really well.” - John W.
This Irish acoustic bouzouki is hand-crafted for us by Antonio Carvalho in Portugal. Carvalho is a descendant of Porto’s famous 19th-century school of guitar players and has been a luthier since 1961. Today, his workshop produces some of the most highly prized string instruments in Portugal.
As an Irish acoustic bouzouki, it has that distinctive flat back with 24 frets, and is tuned to GDAD, making it ideal for sitting in on an Irish trad session.
And now we’ve now given it its own in-built pick-up and tuner to transform it into an electro acoustic bouzouki.
This is a strikingly elegant instrument. The back and sides are made from Koa, the famous Hawaiian wood prized for its unique grain patterns and the variety of colours it produces.
It has an ebony bridge and fingerboard, an arched top, and you can choose between solid spruce or cedarwood for the front of your bouzouki.
Ready to be plugged in and played, or strummed as a stand alone, acoustic instrument, this hand-crafted, specially designed Irish bouzouki is a joy to hold and play for gigging professionals and enthusiasts alike.
