The Phoenix Concertina

The Phoenix Concertina is a 30-button Anglo Concertina in the key of C/G and is aimed at intermediate level players eager to improve.

It’s built using ‘tipo a mano’ steel reeds that are made for us in the Czech Republic, as these reeds are highly responsive, and produce a strong, rich, melodic tone with wonderful balance across the octaves.

It has the traditional riveted action and lever system as this gives you the smoothest and quickest response. While the 6-fold leather bellows provide flexibility and durability, and prevent side-ways flexing, to give you improved volume and better control.

It has black, domed buttons which are easy to navigate and are cushioned with felt bushings, which prevent them from sticking and ensure friction-free responsiveness. And you can choose between our brand new natural wood veneer finish or the classic, black matte finish.

This beautifully built, hand-crafted concertina is the perfect instrument to explore the rich world of Irish trad.
