Our brand-new Viking Banjo has been given a specially commissioned Celtic motif design, so that’s it’s as impressive to look at as it is rewarding to play.

The tone ring is now made of a Zinc alloy, or “pot-metal”, as this produces a warmer, more rounded sound, with the emphasis on mid-range frequencies.

And it now has a double-footed bridge instead of a 3-foot bridge, because this produces a brighter, more vibrant tone that works better with jigs and reels.

Fewer contact points on the banjo head means greater sustain and a crisper sound, which helps it to stand out when playing alongside fiddles and flutes.

Expertly crafted with a flamed maple back and a rosewood fingerboard featuring a decorative pearl inlay, this instrument looks as good as it sounds.
